What is a travel concierge?

A travel concierge is a personal travel advisor that plans your trip according to your wants, needs, and budget. We are experts of travel and are here to provide you our expertise and knowledge with 24/7 support.

What happens if something is booked and I change my mind?

 Vendors and companies have different refund policies. You will always be made aware of refund policies during the proposal process. The ETB planning fee is non-refundable. You will either be given refunds or credits based on said policies. It is HIGHLY recommended to purchase travel insurance to protect your trip.

What does payment look like?

Ellie's Travel Bug charges $20+ a day for the planning fee. The planning fee is required as a deposit and must be paid prior to any bookings. There will be a 3.5% service fee for all invoice transactions. Payment plans may be discussed on individual basis.

What kinds of documentation and money will I need?

Trips outside of the country will require a valid passport and in some cases, a visa as well. Cash is always advised as well as credit cards for emergencies. Most credit card companies will charge a fee for transactions outside of the U.S. You will be advised of these specifics in your final proposal. Don't forget that passport processing is taking longer due to COVID.

Will my trip estimate be exact and do I have to pay in full?

In order to begin booking, the ETB planning fee is required. Based on your preferred payment method, you will be able to pay in full or multiple installments. The final proposal will have specific costs, however, prices are always subject to change.

How will my trip look if I am traveling with a group?

The ETB planning fee is $20 a day for parties of 5 or less. For groups ranging from 6-10 people, the fee will be $40 a day. For groups larger than this, prices will vary. This fee is non-refundable.

Is my travel advisor certified?

Yes! Ellie is certified through the American Society of Travel Advisors. Remember certifications are a badge of commitment but the real expertise comes from experience. You can learn more about the work Ellie has done on the "meet your agent" page and our Instagram!

Are you available after business hours?

I will be available 24/7. For non-emergencies, respond time may vary but as my client, you will have support at all hours of the day before, during, and even after your trip. Most communication will happen via email.

Is COVID still effecting travel?

COVID entry requirements are constantly changing. We will ensure that you are made aware of all up to date policies and documentation needed to enter and return to your destinations. However, it is your responsibility to ensure the required items are complete.

Should I get travel insurance?

As an expert of travel, I would advise the purchasing of travel insurance. Although I do not personally sell it, many credit card companies do! Traveling always poses a risk such as health, safety, and risk of stolen or lost belongings.
